Slow down and enjoy the relaxed pace of this easy-going walking tour, which is set amidst the classic landscapes of Tuscany. As you settle into your hand-picked accommodations in the hilltop towns of Volterra and San Gimignano, take in the views of the surrounding countryside with row upon row of olive groves, vineyards and the iconic Cypress trees. Explore Siena, with its red-bricked medieval skyline and Monteriggioni, one of the most recognized villages in all of Italy with its high medieval stone walls that surround its pretty interior. In the evenings watch local families taking a 'passegiata' in the piazzas that are filled with vibrant restaurants, cafes and shops. While you people-watch get your taste buds tingling by enjoying some of the typical Tuscany cuisine, including local pastas and cheeses, and treats made of saffron - they even make gelato in this flavour!
