  • Gain inner peace and tranqility walking these serene landscapes
  • Sample the delicacies of the region such as saffron, truffles and farm-raised Quercy lamb
  • Cahors, the capitol of the Lot region and enclosed by the river on three sides
  • Sitting in a local café in Lectoure enjoying a local Armagnac
This delightful section of the Le Puy Way from Conques to Lectoure wanders through the natural landscapes of the Causses du Quercy, the luxuriant Lot region and the green round hills of the Garonne. Cajarc, a town on your route and where you will spend a night became famous due to the growth of saffron and barges made their way along the Lot River. To this day many regional specialities of the area are made with saffron as it can be grown on the Quercy Causses. Also walk through the green round hills of the Garonne river plains which is an area rich in historical heritage. This stage of the Camino Le Puy Way finishes in Lectoure, which sits high above the Gers River in the department of the Mini-Pyrenees and from where there are lovely views over the surrounding countryside.
